Backend Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain offchain and onchain systems powering our risk platform. You'll develop protocol integrations, blockchain indexers, onchain risk oracles, and emergency response systems.

How you can make an impact

Build backend (indexers, APIs, monitoring, automation) and onchain (smart contracts, oracles, emergency mechanisms) systems.
Integrate the financial quantitative methodologies elaborated by our researchers into our systems
Design scalable backend services for blockchain data, risk monitoring, and real-time alerting
Integrate with major DeFi protocols (Aave, Curve, liquidity pools)
Leverage AI models to accelerate development and automate repetitive tasks
Work together with client-specific teams, the research team, and our frontend team

Let's connect if you have

Backend: 3-6+ years with Python, TypeScript, and/or Go, HTTP API design, Docker, Infrastructure management, Pub/sub systems
Ability to leverage AI tools for productivity
Blockchain: Smart contract development (Solidity, Vyper)
Solid EVM understanding
Onchain oracles and price feeds (Chainlink)
Transaction finality & onchain access controls
Blockchain indexing
DeFi & Security: Understanding of major protocols (Aave, Curve, AMMs, lending markets)
Strong security mindset and understanding
Financial data processing
Timezone: Americas / Europe / Africa / Middle Est only. Willingness to work during EST core hours.

Nice to haves

Oracle system development
Open-source DeFi contributions
MEV and Ethereum consensus knowledge
Experience with emergency response systems or circuit breakers
