It all began in 2021
LlamaRisk was founded in 2021 as a public good initiative in the Curve Finance ecosystem, wholly aligned with the communities we continue to serve. It was established to address unique challenges faced by early-stage DAOs—namely that trusted, accountable risk authorities were scarce during a period of explosive industry growth.
Our early work revolved around conducting due diligence on behalf of our DAO partners, with a particular focus on comprehensive risk evaluation of stablecoins, ETH liquid staking tokens (LSTs), and real‑world assets (RWAs). From this work, we built our reputation for diligent, objective risk research and trusted advisory that laid the foundation for everything that followed.
